The Director of Policy and Advocacy steers KRG initiatives in the US through their lifecycle. The Director of Public Affairs initiates, develops and executes public messaging and media outreach for the KRG Representative, visiting KRG officials, Kurdish dignitaries and other officials from Kurdistan Region, and facilitates relationships between the KRG and American, international and Kurdish media outlets. In his capacity as Director of Academic Affairs, Mr. Ebsary serves as the contact point for think tanks, universities, and academic institutions on a range of issues. The Director of Humanitarian and Cultural Affairs is the main contact point on humanitarian issues in the Kurdistan Region. Mr. Abdullah also works to promote Kurdistani arts, culture, and heritage in the United States through exhibitions and events. The Director of Investment and Administrative Affairs promotes trade and investment in the region through delegations, conferences, and advocacy. The Director of Genocide and Diversity Affairs is the main contact point for issues related to the rich ethnic, religious, and linguistic diversity of the Kurdistan. In this capacity, Mr. Shirwani contributes to the lobbying efforts to recognize the Kurdish genocide by the former Iraqi regime, as well as the ongoing genocide of Yezidis, Christians, Shabak, and other groups at the hands of ISIS.
